I've just been in my cockpit locker (!) and noticed several little orange tubes a couple of inches long on my gas pipe. I'm sure someone will be able to tell me what they are. Thanks in advance.

Assuming its mostly a copper pipe gasline , might it be the normal orange rubber hose jubilee clipped onto the copper as a junction between two lengths of copper(instead of brass or brazed fitting). Or could be be an anti vibration method or anti scuff device (anything moving around near it).

Yes, orange sleeves on copper pipe, and they are fitted fairly loosely, obviously not two lengths joined together. I think the anti-vibration idea is favourite at the moment.
