Have just failed to convince the other love in my life that pressurised paraffin cookers are safer and less hassle than gas. This time we have no ignition, but time it seems to be due to the "pricker" having snapped off in the jet, effectively blocking it.
Any suggestions where spares can be found and if there is areason why this would happen (its all new to us)?
Model is Optimus 55/155 with 2 burners.

Mant thanks.

Base-camp.co.uk is the place to look at an exploded view and parts / price list. Good luck. Let us know how you get on.

The same burner is used in the Taylors stoves and cabin heater. In my experience the pricking rack is the weakest link and seems to break quite often. If you are up to dismantling the burner then the pricking needle can often be persauded back into the pricking rack - they seem to detach rather than break.

Also the burner will run with the pricking needle removed if you need to use it while waiting for spares to arrive.

Thanks for replies. Needle tip has broken & jammed solid in jet, so spares are a must. I shall give Base Camp a try. Its handy to know that I don't have to have pricker in place though.

Thanks.
Phil
