hello,
did my studying and searching, read again and laughed on the massively overpowered dinghies thread, saw some digging on suzumar by heydn but I'm back at square zero...
Need a rib around 3m I guess 3.3 is the most I can do with a 3.7m transom (got to measure that again, but overall width of MiToS is circa 4m) not v.heavy (passerelle says it's good for 200kg or so) and reasonably cheap.
My options (locally) are:
Valiant 3m around 2K
Suzumar 3m just under 2K,
Mostro (a local builder v.good quality, hypalon, v.expensive)
and then various Chinese (er, not sure if Valiant and suzumar are built in EU tbh)
Cannot find any s/h ribs going cheap, so reluctantly got to go for a new one.
Now, this http://www.silvermarine.com/product/product37.html is quite convenient as the main dealer is 10km away and I know the guy. Price is 1.5K, specs are reasonable, has hypalon tubes, haven't been there to see it yet.
Wonder if anyone knows or heard of anything nasty about them.
Option 2 is to custom built a hypalon tubed rib again by this guy (also builts his own ribs) BUT it's going to be more expensive and heavier
Not keen on 2K ribs tbh.
Engine will be a 9.9 something M (either Mercury or Mariner, don't remember) 2stroke currently sitting in the garage and slightly stuck after 3yrs of storage, got to get the piston moving again!
