I have a Princess 33 non flybridge on the upper Thames which suits us perfectly (almost) as a family.
My only complaint is that the enclosed wheelhouse keeps me isolated from my crew and guests when they're outside whilst underway.
I've been wondering about having a section removed from the roof and a frame and cover made up to match the hood.
I've also considered hatches where the glass panel lifts and slides fully back but have only ever seen these fitted to scandanavian boats and have not yet found any manufacturers.
I would be interested to hear of anyones ideas or experiences.

Try Vetus. They do custom windows & windcreens. You might get something fold-down or sliding. Seaglaze is another one to try.

You might also try a car roof window installer, some of the kits they have, allow the complete window to be lifted out. or just hinged depending on conditions.
