OpenCPN - variation chart

Following on from Conachair's tip the other day I have downloaded the variation chart from OpenCPN but it doesn't display correctly. It only displays in the top left hand corner which means that to find the variation at an point I have to move the underlying chart so that it is in the top left hand corner.

Anyone any thoughts on what I should be doing to make it display correctly across the world?

It looks like the changes in the quilting algorithm over time, has not been kind to this worldwide chart!
Hit "F9" and view it in single chart mode. Alternatively switch off quilting in Toolbox->Settings-> Enable Chart Quilting.
