As an absolute beginner with OpenCPN (or any PC chartplotting software) I am wondering how to lay off bearings or quick courses to steer on OpenCPN. I have found the F4 "measure" tool to give me a quick bearing to steer along. But I have also found the "Chartwork" package here: http://opencpn.org/ocpn/node/214 But I have no idea how to get that package talking to OpenCPN. Does anybody know how to do it?

I've not used the package referred to in that link but I've used OCPN a lot over the last few years. What it looks to be doing is using GPX as an interchange format between the two sets of tools. I think the Navigational Algorithms package tools will export a set of GPX coordinates that can can be imported into OCPN probably as a route. I dont think there is a direct interface between the two.
