Hi All.
I have an OpacMare passerelle/gangway.
At the moment it is not working.
When any button is pushed on the remote or control panel the hydraulic motor runs for 1/2 second, but the gangway does not move.
It seems that the DCV hydraulic valves to not open. If I use the manual button on the end of the DCV and press a button on the remote the gangway will move a little, for 1/2 a second. Like this I can get the gangway out and in, but it will not stop at the right places so care is needed.
It seems that the sensors are all on and off correctly. The door sensor 6 is on as the door is open, the also 2B and 4X are on. The gangway is out at the moment. When the sensors indicate that the door is close for example then the hydraulic motor does not run at all.
We are in Tahiti not near a repair centre.
Any advice appreciated.
I have sent emails to the manufacturer in Italy, but no reply yet. Italians like to have August off.

Have you checked there's enough hydraulic fluid in the system ?
Does the motor pack run anything else like trim tab rams or the steering ram ? -Which may have caused the hydraulic fliud to be lower and tripped something ?

Just need to elimate other causes and interferences 1st .
Check the power supply to the motor for loose conections etc

Other than that it sounds like a sensor tripping it in which case they can be usually be bypassed ,but how depends on wether they send a feed or break a feed .
If send simply short the wires together if you can identify them ? ,if break disconnect .

Though for safety the senors most likely send a feed .

Tiny trip switches often fail ,just had a prob with my ride on mower the seat switch failed so cutter blades would not turn in the middle of a cutting session .
I just bypassed it ,it sends a feed .it means I can now dismount with the blades spinning .

So I would have a close look at any sensors and try and bypass them
Then be carefully operating until a proper fix
