It looks like a grand do, but..... how does this 'Oostende Vor Anker' thing work?

Yes, I've looked at the website, which gives lots of stuff about music and presentations, but I didn't see anything about what boats can enter, entry fees, how to book, berthing arrangements, etc.

Any inside knowledge gratefully received.

1. Boat has to be +40 years old.
2. No entry fee. By entering your boat, you 'make' the festival. So entry is FOC.
3. Number of boats that can enter is limited. Places are allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis. This year is already fully booked. There was an entry form on site.
4. Berthing arrangements are communicated once you have entered your boat for the festival.

Thanks to you both.

I do have an old, so need to be more organised for a future 'do'.

If you turn up as a spectating (and 'beering') vessel, are you always able to find a space?

Mine is programmed to repeat :encouragement:

Have a look on youtube for past years, last year we were seen to be drinking a bier or 2 in front of the stage

If you contact Hubert Rubbens(organiser) with details of you boat he may find room. I know of an entry made last week.

PM me if you need more details.

We are over 40 years old (just) but we're just another 60s / 70s small British bilge keeler. Much as we love her, hardly a classic! So it's the RNSYC for us

Yes.... that's exactly my view, too, about our 1966 Trident, but thank you very much for the thought, Transcur.
