Yes Norwegian skippers again, apparently asleep at the wheel, it happens regularly here, there was a ship ran aground in the south of Norway the same day in broad daylight, there was a marker pole and they went the wrong side of it. I have never known a country to have so many Commercial accidents, never mind the private boats that crash every weekend around 2-3 am on their way back to their cabin or dock after a boozy night with friends, sadly there are a number of deaths each year due to people driving at high speed at night while over the limit. You'd never think they were a nation with a long tradition of seafaring, where 1 in 5 has a boat. More like chavs with 'considerably more money than what you have'!
That was my first thought too - seemed a somewhat reckless decision if it later started sinking! I can imagine popped rivets halfway down the hull too. Where would all that energy get absorbed I wonder as I can't see the rock giving way much...? :ambivalence:
