Timeless classic like the forth bridge - the maintenance just goes on and on and on and on and on. Hey look...... is that the skipper and hostess trying to hang themselves?

If you can afford to buy that baby, varnishing is the least of your worries! thank heaven for those people who are passionate enough to build it, buy it and maintain it so we can all enjoy such wonderous beauty.

In answer to his previous question "What Dog do I buy", might I suggest that the correct answer should be "A Stuffed One".

Total confusion!
1. Mobo seller posts pics of Raggie thing.
2. Dogwatch is on Mobo Forum.
3. SWMBO says "That,s a nice looking Boat."
4. T 25 posts a sensible reply.
5. Banjan, "sails like a witch", confusion again!
6. dvinell, wants You to get stuffed.
7. billskip, your like Me, You "park" boats and are rubbish with regards to piccies!
8. As raggie things go, tiss a bit smart.
9. Think I could just about handle the Red/Blue water scooter thinghy/ dinghy in the piccie!
10, comes after 9.

He was asking which Dog to get, earlier, so I suggested a lo-maintenance one...

I am passionate about boats. I see the beauty in sweat and toil of craftsman. I see no beauty in spending my hard earned leisure time maintaining it - just stupidity. Bad enough trying to find time to change the fuse in the TV never mind 85ft of mirror finish varnishing. I can talk from experience because I used to skipper a very similiar boat in my younger days. If you had a similiar job you would understand where I am coming from. The beauty soon wears off and turns to despair.

Not if you have enough money to pay an army of craftsmen to continuously maintain it, like most of the larger boats anyway.

I really can't see Eddie Jordan getting out his polishing cloth and 3M paste anytime soon.
