For anyone interested I was down at Haslar this afternoon to check on the boat after the recent bad weather (and the next upcoming storm).

Took a quick look at the boats on the walk from entrance to end of F pontoon and all looked OK. I didn't see any torn covers, burst fenders, missing lines or shredded headsails.

Noticed far more people around than usual for a December weekday, adding lines and checking fenders it seemed.

PS - Landers was open and serving food, reports of closure may have been premature?

Did exactly the same, for the same reason, a cursory inspection of everyones lines on walk out and back revealed an amazing diversity in ways to secure a boat.

I saw that Landers was closed about three weeks ago and it had a Baliff/Recievers notice in the window. Great to see it open again. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I feel so lucky having a bunch of good friends who live aboard at Haslar that keep a check on our vessels when we're not around.
