Personal recommendation from existing student.
Anyone thinking of studying for their RYA sailing qualifications should take the time to
check out Chichester Maritime - www.cmonline.co.uk
My husband and I are working our way through the RYA Yachtmasters Theory with
Rod and Sue from Chichester Maritime and have found it to be a superb facility.
We have previously studied Day Skipper theory in a local college, however, work
and family commitments made this a very difficult way of studying for us.
Rod and Sue were recommended to us whilst we were in Portugal, by an ex student -so word has travelled far!
The software is excellent, support documentation great but what sets this business apart is the personal touch.
They have proven to be most accommodating and understanding on a personal level, whilst maintaining a highly
professional relationship. So if you're thinking about studying - look them up - email or call.....they really know their stuff - and are nice with it!

Hi all,

My partner and I used Centaur Sailing (http://www.centaursailing.com) for our Day Skipper theory course. If you think you know what you're doing you can do a "no support" course which is considerably cheaper but you don't get the handholding that comes with the full support version (via telephone or Skype call). You do get self-assessment questions for each module and a proper marked mock exam with audio feedback before the real thing. If you go this route and think at some point that you're in over your head you can upgrade to full support (we did; we didn't; we passed!).
