Online questionnaire leisure vessels in TSS

Below is a link to questionnaire on rule 10(j) of colregs which forms part of my research for BSc Marine Studies. Click on the link and the online questionnaire will take approx. 10 minutes to complete.
The aims are to find out if leisure mariners have a different interpretation of this rule than merchant mariners, and to see if this could lead to an increased risk of collision. Also to investigate any further causes of differences of opinion and to consider possible improvements to rule 10(j)

Only with the addition of questionnaire for mariners with experience of vessels<300grt.

Do you mean >300grt

I was an officer with Blue Star Ship Management, but the ships were well in excess of 300grt.

I have had a look at this questionnaire.

Most of the questions ask what you would do if you were the OOW of a commercial vessel in a potential collision situation.

Few of us weekend yotties have had this type of training or experience so it seems pointless to speculate in this way or to imagine that anything useful could be gained from such speculation.

Why don't you frame it to ask what the skipper of the yacht involved would do?

I filled it in, went to page 2 and back and my reply had gone! Out of time now.

Also, I would need, more information on the small vessel involved (ie max speed) to give correct reply.
