Hi,

Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with a company called Yacht Bits? They are part of KM Electronics Ltd.

The reason for asking is that they seem very good value, almost too good, and as we all know there is no such thing as a free lunch!

Have a look at the following deal, I am looking at bundle 3

Any constructive thoughts welcome

Well, I was on the phone to them for 35 minutes last week, while they patiently ran thorugh my electronic networking requirement for Actisense Multiplexers and Buffers for NMEA.
If their parts supply is as good as their technical support, you are on a winner.

I note they are sole agents for a number of respected smaller electronic suppliers, as well as selling the big name items too.

Kevin is the man if I remember correctly, very friendly and helpful.
A first class outfit, I've bought high ticket stuff from them on a number of occassions, I am a very satisfied customer.

Just shows how helpful the search feature is. I was going to pose this very question regarding Yachtbits, as I'm in the market for a battery charger. Googling for prices, Yachtbits are way cheaper than their nearest competitor. Worryingly/unbelievably cheaper!

I think I will place my order with them now!

For those that are curious, google Sterling 1250CED & see how much cheaper they are than other sources.

I didn't buy on the net, I went to their place on a trading estate outside Lowestoft and bought a handheld vhf and some other gear. Extremely helpful people there, sorted me out a charger for an obsolete vhf as well.
