I spent the early afternoon on the boat... before wind and snow stopped play. my plan was to wash down and scrub to remove the dirt and sand that has accumulated through the recent storms and a closed season of limited attention, all went well till i got out my very expensive new bottle of silicone polish, opened it and managed to drop it and spill all over the cockpit sole, a quick check over my shoulder at the snow storm advancing down the coast and a feverish mighty rub down over every surface within reach with my now reducing pool of expensive blue stuff before retreating to the cabin behind the washboards to find solice in a cup of tea.. once i thought it prudent to re emerge i found the cockpit looks great - but should do at what i worked out to be just over £11 per meter!
