One of my favourite yachts has sunk...

...ten months ago, but I read of it for the first time this evening. One of the prettiest, the 1906 106ft gaff schooner Dwyn Wen, sank in Mayotte Harbour in January.

Sad but will the owners be held responsible for the mess it has made? It says in the article that it was left neglected on a mooring since 2006.

From the photos it looks like the lack of maintenance goes back at lot longer than six years. Still, very sad sight to see.
