so there I was on the hard, kettle of water in the bucket stirring in the oxalic acid crystals with an old BBQ brush (new it would come in handy) and adding the wallpaper paste - crowd start appearing from nowhere (well the sun was out!) - what are you going to do with that? Clean the hull say's I pointing to the dull brown 4 year old stains all over the white (?) hull and feeling less confident than I sounded........there's this wonderfull boating forum on the internet adn this is the best way (apparantley).
So after a hoot of laughter when I suggested I was simply going to brush is on and wash it of 20 mins later I set of rounf the hull with the brush from the boats dustpan set (perfect!)........you could have heard a pin drop! the colouration just disappeared, and the effect was made even more obvious by the (deliberately) left patches of contrasting brown stain the first time round.
Trying hard not to look smug I was left fielding questions on water temperature, where do you get the oxalic stuff and why wallpaper paste............from people who had been laughing loudly only minutes before.
