One dead and boats wrecked in Majorca storm

We were anchored in both Andraitx and San Telmo only last week

I think the Fairline Phantom is a local boat and is normally tied to a buoy in Andraitx harbour. We are regular visitors to Andraitx and have spent many a night anchored in the harbour or tied up in the marina. Andraitx is one of the best and safest harbours in the Balearics for anchoring. The storm must have arrived with little warning for so many boats to be damaged

Thats terrible.

We are due to dock there mid November - I hope the weather is kinder by then

wow some pictures Mike, I have fond memories of a very calm Andratx. Must have been very sudden to catch so many boats out.
