My son bought this little bike for me to use on my cat, supposed to be the most reliable Chinese monkey bike; best of a bad bunch in other words.

Just coming up to first 1000 km, so here's the gen....

Skyteam Bubbly 125 4str scooter: £1000, 2 years guarantee in the Uk. Weight 75kg.

Good points:
No plastic mouldings
proper motorbike steel frame
very low seat height
fantastic torque, flys off the line in second gear.
55 mph flat out, 60mph with following wind.:p
100mpg.
fast enough to keep up with traffic, accelerates really well.
lovely 4str engine noise at idle and at speed!

Bad points:
twitchy handling because of small 8' wheels; son tells me to enter corner slowly then pin the rear wheel down by rapidly accelerating through apex to stop the weaving.
very snachy clutch and brakes, may wear in yet.
rear wheel spindle has a 14mm nut on one side, 17mm on other side!:ambivalence:
inside mirror only points up in the air.
polythene petrol tank is rubbing off the seat, and about to cut though already.

overall: 8/10.

on the stern of my cat:
