Onan mdkbl pencil anode

Hi - I am going to change out my pencil anode on my onan mdkbl generator.
Is it wise to put ptfe on the brass screw nut prior to fitting or can it be just screwed in without leaks?

No It has to be screwed in metal to metal to provide the electrical contact for the node to work
