This Thursday. HW 07.30 BST.
Jetwash.Anodes and A/F and quick lick of Oxalic.
Possibly 17C.
Time to find the special "Bobble Hat" with the multi coloured splatters of previous A/F attempts.

What do you use the oxalic for?

How goes the day.
06.00 down to boat for 07.30 HW.
Strong westerly.
07.00 tide decides it not worth the effort and starts to ebb.
Boat on blocks with a couple of feet to spare.
Jetwash off.
Loads of slime with the odd barncule.
Shaft anodes gone.
Both rudder blade anodes gone.
Main 4 Kilo anode and both trim tab anodes 50% gone.
Prop nut anodes virtually gone.
While waiting to hull to dry, apply Oxalic Acid.

OGs receipe.
O. acid. £13.00 from Ebay.
250 grammes of crystals
Half small bottle of Fairy liquid.
Bucket of warm water .
Apply with soft broom and wait, couple of applications on sink outlets etc.
Cleaned up the hull 100% almost as impressive as a full cut back and polish.
Apply A/F and wait and wait.
Eventually we do float off the blocks , then some interesting gyrations going astern as the tide and wind make life as difficult as possible,
Previous attempts

Some old sceptics on our moorings have suggested that all those anodes are vital to negate the rubbish quality of all the Froggy hull fittings.
Prior to purchase, a seller insurance survey found that not a single one of the engine/generator/ bog seacocks could be closed and mandated that all were replaced..................immediately.

I found that the addition of a packet of wallpaper paste to the Oxalic mixture kept the solution on the hull longer. It still pressure washes off just fine.
