As usual round here in Medway

Again ....we got there first as this picture of one of Sarah Ts dollybird crew proves.
The back ground may resemble that of a of a pub but of course it is a local gym.. :)

I think there is a river closure from Hampton Court to Tedders on the day.

There will be 2 x EA patrol boats in attendance along with ( AFAIK ) 4 x po-lice boats

Torch on Thames

Just a reminder for all along the Thames, the torch leaves Hampton Court just before 7.30am tomorrow (Friday) and travels downstream towards Tower Bridge. Should pass under Blackfriars bridge about noon.

I myself will be waving it by as it passes our barge over breakfast :)

Edit: sorry just saw the previous post, apparently we'll have to breakfast early

We are hosting a major section of the Olympic Cycling events here in the town this weekend so will be pretty much in lock down mode with all major roads closed on both Saturday and Sunday - won't even be able to get in and out of our own drive!

Decision was either get away completely or stay here locked in and watch the fun and games. Knee mending nicely but still unable to drive and mobility on boat not really good enough yet so lock-in it is.

Must admit the opportunity to photograph such a one off event passing right by my door seems too good to miss :D
