I am very fortunate to have recently acquired a lovely old model of the Leigh Bawley OLIVE MIRIAM (LO3) to add to my Nicholls Collection of ten vintage named Thames Estuary Working Boats (circa 1900). She is in need of restoration and tlc.

Is there anyone out there who knows anything about her history? Is she the same Bawley referred to by John Leather in ‘Smacks and Bawleys’ as CLIVE Miriam, the last Shrimper working out of Gravesend (aka Bawley Bay!) in 1933?

Is CLIVE Miriam a misprint of what should have been OLIVE MIRIAM?
