Oli filter for Perkins 103-06

Still working on my recently aquired boat. the engine is a Perkins 103-06 3 cylinder diesel. I was hoping to identify the oil filter before removing it but cannot see the writing . I do not have an engine manual. Does anyone know the filter number or if there is an equivalent car engine filter which fits this engine? i have been told that it would be easier to source and probably a lot cheaper

Hi,

I've got a Perama M25 which is based on the 103-09. I think they use the same oil filter as the 103-06 though not absolutely sure. I just ordered some last Friday from Di-Perk on 0800 0730424. They have parts engineers who will identify the correct filter if you can quote the engine number (or at least the first two letters e.g KA, KB, KC etc).

Very helpful, reasonable prices (£3.71 plus VAT for mine) but there is a minimum order value of £15/£20. I've just ordered enough oil and fuel filters to last me the next 3 years! Saves a lot of messing around trying to find equivalents - which do exist I'm sure but if you go to most motor places these days they seem to want to know what model car it's for!

You get next day delivery from Di-Perk if you order before 4pm. Included in the price I think. No connection other than as a satisfied customer.
