After performing great from milfird haven to penzance last month,
Tge unit wouldnt work when we returned to the boat.
The control head powers up, red led flashes in standby, but when auto is selected it hoes solid for a sec, then the unit dies as the fuse has blown.
The original fuse was broken in its holder, so swapped the holder and put in a 5a fuse. Blows straight away.
A) anyone know the correct size fuse for the unit? 5a was a guess, and the biggest i had.
B) what could cause it? is it likely to be a problem with the wiring in the clutch unit?
C) anyone ever opened up these units? are they simply fixed? I know my unit wasnt working originally due to a loose wire in the clutch unit.
Thx
