I'd rather you ate wasps too, I prefer tomatoes, especially fresh ones from the Azores, they sound delicious.

One of the best drinks I have enjoyed was a half inch of cheap Spanish gin, some flat, warm tonic, a squishy quarter of three week old lemon, served up in a proper but somewhat aged glass... At ooh 3 am..safe arrivals n all that

My sailing boat had about 900nm range at cruise speed, so I could always have slowed down or used the flappy things!

I have two weeks in the Azores this summer. I will let you know on the tomatoes.

I would still prefer the wasps to 66 days at sea in a small boat.

Probably - they have them almost everywhere else (except the US now they closed up there recently).

Do they make horse bacon? the answer is probably 'neigh lad'......

You've obviously never done any long ocean passages then? You crave all sorts of things you haven't had for a while. Fresh veg would be one of them. Enjoy your wasps
