Old Squadrons and the like

I dont buy that. It's frigging obvious that the engines of a Sq will come out of the 10 foot wide/6 foot high hole that is the patio door (you remove all the glazed panels, obviously). I just wouldn't accept the advice of any shipyard anywhere that said it can't be done.

spot on Mike, I dont know all the facts but apparantly they are Mann "V" engines and even with the patio door frames removed which would have been a major job,
it was not physically possible to fork one out without having to "rest" it briefly on the cockpit to reposition which could not take the weight.

It was fully considered by qualified engineers. Spect the owner will make comment soon.

Now on my Princess it looks perfectly feasible to do it through the patio apperture, in fact I know she had a gearbox removed that way in the past.

[/ QUOTE ]Mmmm... Wouldn't a phone call to the builder have sorted that out?

Shame about the flybridge, cutting a hole in it is mad.

I could have brought my Sledge Hammer and Jig Saw round, and use gravity by taking it straight out through the bottom /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
