Can enyone tell me how old my Yamaha 4hp is. engine no 6EO L507057,i think around 1980 but Yam info only starts in 84.

Is this the same outboard you were asking about last year?
Are you sure you have the right number. It should be on an embossed or printed plate on the side of the mount bracket. Don't look at any cast-in numbers on the engine.
The date letter may not be in the number you have.
