old oil

Have just found a half full can of engine oil ( Volvo 15w/40 ) in my garage which has been lying there for approx seven years. Suitable for my present boat engine, will it be allright or does oil go off?

Send it to me then buy some new

If it is still "clear and bright" in appearance

and has not darkened excessively in colour

use it!
