When I was an apprentice at Silley Cox & Co. that berth inside the Norther Arm was not used during Jan to end of Feb as the Eastern Arm caused a very heavy swell inside the basin, but the docks have had several owners now and the lessons learned by new blood over the years has been forgotten, the swell is greater now with the new infill, which has had an affect in the tidal sections of the rest of the upstream water from the docks to Penryn, not being an "Expert" I stand to be shot down, just a river user.
