Hi Folks
I have an old kayak paddle with alloy shaft and wooden throats and blades. The blades are at the wrong angle so I need to rotate the throat in the shaft but it is too tight. Any ideas on how to rotate without damaging the paddle?
Thanks
John

Mine has plastic blades which are simply pop riveted on

As a last resort perhaps cut the shaft in the middle and reconnect using an internal sleeve so that the result is the handedness you require

In case any one else wants to know

If you hold a kayak paddle in front of you with one blade resting on the ground and facing your feet its a right handed paddle if the other blade faces to your right and a left handed paddle if the other blade faces to your left

Oh yes it does matter
