I customer has asked me to shift his old Fairline 40, think its about 1986. I know Markc had one of these.

Thing is whilst you could get it for a snip, as a project the (40ft) berthing fees kinda put a damper on it. Annually they are about 11-12 k for 15m here, probably as much as the boat is worth................ok probaby not its worth more.

Does anyone think its a viable project?

Clive,

Given the crunch there will be very limited buyers in the CDS market. However, a 1991 Sunseeker Martinique made £46k on Ebay so maybe you should take it and put it on Ebay!

Good luck trying to sell her! I do not think is viable unless used as a live aboard. The Viking here in Gib (1981?) can not sell at £55k and it is on a berth ...so I would price it at £39k max.

He Paul yes indeed we have a Viking 43 aft cabin Estepona been on sale for a long time. I will take your Ebay suggestion to the owner for him to do if he desires , I'm not getting involved in all the malarky

What's the spec? There were several variations leading up to the final model. Engines? Type of windows/hatches? Radar arch? This sounds like a heck of a lot of boat if the condition is right for the kind of money you are all throwing around as the going rate. The F40 is fundementally a decent, spacious and well built boat.
