OK let's sort out what exactly is a "classic"

It's such a personal thing isn't it? Does a classic design have to be over 100 years old, or is 50 years old enough? Does it have to be a long keeler, or big overhangs? Does it need to be narrow rather than beamy, max beam astern of midships, long overhangs? Can a masthead sloop be a classic, or would it need to be a cutter or ketch or something else no longer fashionable?

What are your views of what might be included & what shouldn't? GRP/plywood/ hot-moulded or steel construction is clearly no barrier, so what might be?

Oh beggar, it's already been done to death & I didn't see it. Please just post on the other threads!!

I tend to agree, though a sail type myself I'd count boats like Fairey Swordsmen, Huntresses etc as classics; I believe they trace their ancestry straight back to MTB's etc and those are certainly classics !
