Actually I reckon the Westmarine is all Fatipa's fault, months ago he recommended the catalogue and I now recall signing up for it!! Sorry Kim!

In the last West Marine Catalogue I had to laugh at the flashing lights dog collar, in itself a worthwhile product for anyone travelling with pets at night, but their ditty sold it to me.....waterproof to 200ft.

Not RYA but very suspicious of IPC

I was until last month, a subscriber to YM. My partner is a member of RYA.

A West Marine flyer came to me only, using the same variant of my name that was used for my YM subscription (its not the usual way I give my name but has been used with other companies besides IPC, so this isn't absolute proof).

Re: Not RYA but very suspicious of IPC

Vyv, as I recall you live in Holland, so a computer running a mailing list would exclude you from a list of UK addresses.

Re: Not RYA but very suspicious of IPC

That could be the reason, but West have an operation in Germany that I can order from and they seem to consider themselves virtually universal. If I were them I would be posting flyers to every known address of committed sailors.

Do not mind the "West Catalogue" coming through the door.
A excellant catalogue, well worth receiving.
