Ok, I\'ll come clean

As a few people have guessed, she is a Princess 37 on a Y hull with 2 x 135hp ford mariners.

So, the competition winner is.... (drumroll) Divemaster1 who from a picture of the anchor and 3 inches of hull managed to guess the manufactuer and model a couple of days ago. Divermaster1 needs to get out more /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. There is a beer with your name on it at Swansea if you ever get down this far.

As for the price, it's not the asking price, but a fair deal which was confirmed by the independent surveyor. She flew though the survey with nothing more serious than a slightly pitted prop (aparently there is a bad earth leakage issue in the marina).

I'll post more piccies when the deal is done! (is there an echo in here?)

Re: Ok, I\'ll come clean

If its the one in CHatham, I suffered the same electrolysis when I was in there with my 37 and I was only there 2 months!

All the anodes fizzed to nothing and enough barnacles sink a battleship.

Anyway, Enjoy the boat!

Re: Ok, I\'ll come clean

Planning on having a galvanic isolator fitted. I think they are about £70 and should be worthwhile!

Saw her on A Hammerhead today - don't forget to turn the davits round when you get her home. They've been reversed for some time presumably to save mooring fees.

Re: Ok, I\'ll come clean

She went back into the water on friday (Aparently Chatham's crane is buggered so they had to hire one in and it was going away friday).

Re: Ok, I\'ll come clean

Ummmm Chatham crane has been bug ered for some time and there has been much talk of them acually buying a new one - you would have thought MDL could have run to that but apparently not.

Best of luck with the sea trial. I've not seen Harlequin Princess out since we have been at Chatham for the past couple of years. They did call the lock and booked a lock-out time but when the moment came they cancelled. She has been out of the water all year.

Enjoy

I believe that the owner was renovating her for quite a while. There are quite a few new bits & pieces...

About ten yards from mine at Val Wyatts in Wargrave. She is being used a lot and well loved by her owners!

To be fair, it was at least 4 inches..... and I did not think it was a competition, but offer is appreciated... .. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif ... Congratulations with the boat, she is a beauty and does have all the qualities you were looking for ... just be observant in high following seas, as she will have a tendency to sheer out .... but at least without the fly, she'll roll less than her sisters with flybridge. Looks great indeed!!!

Aparently she has the same roof structure as a flybridge model, so quite strong enough to walk on. Maybe I should put a ladder & seat on the top so SWMBO can sit up there on lobster pot watch /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
