You wont find the west country "Relaxed Like" at that time of year.....

More "Get out yer wallet and raft up Like"

I would skip the UK and just do the French coast.... and then around the corner.

Then some back via the West country if you must.... that strikes me as a better bet... more time off the wind I would expect...

what to miss what not to miss 6 > 8 weeks away.

suggestions in a plain brown envelope pls :D

3 things not to miss:

(i) Ploumanac'h: the rock scenery is unique, in particular the coastal walk and the Vallée des Traouieros,
(ii) the music (mostly in modern idiom, like Irish) and dancing (much more relaxed than the Irish, the lines bend round a town square and join up: you can join in),
(iii) the draught Coreff beers, cask-conditioned black, brown, and blond real ales, brewed in Morlaix.

I have given up making grand plans, with up to 8 weeks available, you should be able to go where the wind blows best.
Maybe set a general target; Brest/Labewrach or Scilly/Fal after 4 weeks then, like the Magi, return by a different route.

You could miss out every "unmissable place" and still see a lot of places that should not be missed, so I would not worry.
The places on my priority list might be;
On the UK side: Fowey, Yealm, Fal, Dart, Salcombe.
On the French side: Morlaix Bay, Treguier/Lezardrieux, St Malo Bay, Channel Isles.
