No not that you plonker ,
I have some very unusual and I think interesting equipment
Example
The complete set used to check early magnetos and ignition systems it needs a 6 volt battery for power and checks coils condensers points and so on .I have used it to check early outboards and lawnmower engines .The great thing is the fly wheel can be left on .Its called
Ignition tester made by Rupert Ledger & co LTD White Waltham
I have got this thing about being able to do the job any job and so I am always on the look out for handy bits of kit. Although some equipment I have sold because I just never used it or the time taken to learn how to meant I would never get around to it ,this included white metaling kit used to remake bearings wheeling machine box pan folder guillotine .Funny thing is my favourite bit of kit is a humble but hugely important wooden box .No don't think that I'm a nutter ,I got it from a shed clear out .Some old boy passed away this was left as the dregs .
It is made in a solid form no lid or openings .I used it extensively while working on the tug ,placing the bottle jack on it to push the steel up for holding in position to weld. The solid lengths of timber are to heavy and awkward to move about when on your back under a boat . This is not the sort of thing modern types even think about but the chap that made it knew his stuff , I dare say the main task it had was a step, but because there are three sizes you have options of working heights to choose from, the box really helped me on the tug and it now has a place in my special bit of kit collection.
Right then what have you got , and even better what have got that needs a new home .

slide rule? Without one of them there'd be no ignition tester & spitfires (PaulineB - glad to hear you're alive & kicking)

As the owner of a large collection of vintage tools, a couple of classic boats and about a dozen classic bikes I hate to have to admit that my favourite tool is my battery drill.

Ashamed? Yes, but at least my arm isn't aching!
