I believe that the Offshore Yachts factory had a fire caused by just this phenomena in the 70s. They used a lot of teak oil, and I think it was a sponge soaked in the stuff that caused a problem.
Some teak oils contain dryers e.g. promoters of oxidation. Linseed I think is often sold with dryers too.
This would make them much more likely to burn than straight lube oils.
