Oil leak volvo 2001 bt

Oil seen dripping from behind large pully at front of engine. After pully is removed, can I expect to see a main bearing cover which when removed will expose, what? a oil seal prehaps, what kind of bearing? sleeve or ball bearing?

When the pulley is off you will see the hexagaonal front cover of the oil pump.

It might be possible to extract the oil seal without removing the cover but it looks simple enough to remove the cover, press out the old seal and press in a new one.

If you take the cover off also renew the O ring seal behind it.
