We have developed a leak from the Port engine which appears to be coming from the region of the oil pressure sensors.
In the photo the upper sensor, shiny metal with brown connection, was only finger tight. I could not get a spanner on it as it is so close to the dipstick tube. The lower sensor was tight.
Any ideas how this could be tightened?

Thanks, but how easily? Just pull it up ? On a 40 year old engine?
If it is easy it would solve the access problem.

How easy entirely depends on your engine room. From dead simple to dismantling half the engine if it's anything like mine.

An update. I managed with a narrow jawed mole wrench to get a grip on the round bit, not the hex area, and have tightened it as far as I can. There appears to be no further leakage so hopefully job done.
I am unsure how this fitting came to be so loose and will obviously have to keep an eye on it.

Don't leave them wires rubbing on that metal, it will wear through and it will cause a problem. prevention is better than cure !
