Hi again

I've just purchased a Bayliner 2452 with alpha one gen 2 leg.

When i trimmed the leg down to start her on the hardstanding with the hose, green oil has leeked from a small hole on both sides of the leg the position is just above the cavitation plate.
I'm guessing that when the leg is raised oil is somehow getting out from the lower leg and when i trim down it is then allowed to seep out of the hole.
Any help would be great.

Hi Spike, you really need Spannerman for this one or perhaps Volvopaul.
Cannot for the life of me think what oil in the leg would be green in colour.

Hi
It's the same oil that sits in the lower leg, i believe from the bayliner forum that the oil is probably leaking from the shift shaft oil seal, i bit the bullet in the end and a marine engineer has taken it away to pressure test, D M Marine in Falmouth who i highly recommend.
