Oil Lamp Question

I have fitted an oil lamp into my boat. This the lamp Lamp here <span style="color:blue"> </span> Unfortunately it did not come with any instructions. I can't see any obvious way of filling it with oil. Does anyone have a similiar lamp and is able to advise. I expected to see a filler cap, but there is none. I wondered if the resorvoir at the bottom unscrews, but if it does it is very tight. I would appreciate any advice on this.
 
Ditto all of the above. I'd just add that putting a small bore plastic pipe onto the top of a small squeezy bottle needs a bit of care. I still think a small funnel and a bottle lets you see how full you are filling the lamp. I suppose you could pre-mark the bottle with a measured dose but this means playing with the lamp oil twice.

Use tweezers/ needle nosed plies to keep the wick level - this will help produce a bright even flame.
 
Ahh, the blackened stain on the headlining, the delicate aroma of parafin in your hair, clothes & food. I do like the ambience of an oil lamp!

Seriously, I do love a saloon lit by oil.
 
I've found the Citronella lamp oil best - it smells nicer, cleaner burning and cheap. I save the Blue stuff for the Taylors.
But, a bit of a warning. Always transfer the paraffin from the "shop bottle" to something a lot tougher. I've dropped a small kedge anchor into a locker one night, split the plastic bottle, and flooded the bilges with the stuff. It wasn't at all pleasant. Being a quiet summer night, everyone slept on deck, till the mess was cleaned up.
 
yes the whole wick assembly unscrews but the lamp oil i buy comes in a squeezy type bottle so you don't have to take the soggy wick all the way out - just squirt the oil in after you've lifted the assemby up an inch or so from the base
