Thanks for replacement suggestions. Despite useful contacts with Richard (Lancing Marine), and Jeff (Freedom Marine), both of whom specialise in recons, it was Boats & Outboards who advertised a factory-new Borg Warner 72C which we collected from Cornwall.
(For info: the trade edition of B&O comes out a week before you'll find it in the newsagents, and the online version even earlier.)
It was suggested that engine oil (currently Shell Rimula X 15-40) be used in the gearbox too: "don't bother with that ATF hydraulic stuff."
Any comment?
