I think we paid £30 for 2 engines. As discussed, I'll fax you the report so you can see wot you get for the money. £100 way too much, but £6.60 a bit cheap imho

REFERANCE OIL SAMPLING WE DO THIS EVERY SERVICE AT WORK, WE HAD FINNINGS (CATERPILLAR) AT FIRST. GOOD QUALITY COMPANY BUT NOT THE FASTEST. PRICE OF £6 IS A GOOD DISCOUNTED PRICE PER SAMPLE.
WE NOW USE ROBERTSONS LABS AT £10 PER SAMPLE FASTER RESPONSE.
PLEASE NOTE YOU ALSO NEED TO BUY A PUMP KIT AT ABOUT £25 TO DO THE SAMPLING.BY THE WAY YOU CAN DO ONE IMPORTANT TEST YOURSELF CALLED THE CRACKLE TEST. TAKE A SAMPLE OF OIL FROM ENGINE OR WHATEVER PUT AN OLD CLEAN FRYING PAN ON THE COOKER TO HEAT WHEN HOT POUR A SMALL AMOUNT OF OIL IN PAN IF IT SPITS AND CRACKLES YOU HAVE WATER IN YOUR OIL INVESTIGATE IMMEDIATLY

Leverton's, the Cattaerpillar (commercial not marine) people in Windsor did about 3 tests for me at no charge.

Wasn't looking for a freeby but they would not take anything.

This was about 1993.
