Do any of you remember that little competition on here last year. If you filled in a questionair thing and you were the first of so many then you got a free subscription to a mag. Well I did it and was confirmed as being one of the first and therfor successful but ive never heard another word or recieved a free mag.
Any of you remember doing it and did you get a result?

I heard nothing for 6 months, then got the 6 back issues in one go. After this they have been coming through OK.

Worst of it is my missus made me stop my sub when I told her, she said we needed to make savings as I had recently bought new boat so I've been re-reading old copies for the last 4 months.
Anyone want to sell me their old copies Feb, Mar & April for £1 each ?

I also won one of the photo competitions.
Suposed to get a £100 RYA voucher - nothing arrived.
Still, I dont think that RYA vouchers are worth much - second prize would probably have been £200 vouchers.

Must try and cheer up

It was the winning that I was really pleased about - and the taking part that counts.

I prefer MBY, I think it's value for money and generally of a higher quality, but I still buy MBM, and have bought SB&RIB, even though the spelling errors get on my nerves, I'm just too pedantic I suppose /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Going back a few years I had an article issued about using you dinghy as a liftraft.
3 years later the exact same article appeared again but under 'Owners tips and ideas' where you got paid for printed suggestions.

I didnt get paid for the first or second entry, the second entry despite being word perfect and included a photo of my boat was supposed to have been submitted by

Doka Peters instead of Peter Daka

Doka Peters lived in Lancashire and not Lincolnshire

I thought all the subs problems regarding this survey had been solved as there were a number of complaints originally which we got to the bottom of... eventually (searush will back me up!). Anyway, I apologise for this and I'll contact individuals tomorrow.

Thanks,
Dan
