Oh Phil Bow AND Stern

I'm sure he wont mind me spilling the beans only my friend Phil who is always ribbing me about my occasional
jab on the bow thruster, has admited to resorting to using both the bow AND stern thrusters on a Pred 56
recently in strong wind off pontoon situation. So he, like so many other critics of the humble thruster,
is only human after all. CGN

I agree! If you've got it use it! I wish I had one on my boat sometimes, especially in a cross wind trying to tie up stern to, its a bloody nightmare and don't anybody get smartaresed, until they come and try and do it with mine! When the wind gets hold of the bow of 48 tons, you just wait until it all comes to a stop and try and salvage your boat and dignity! With lots of fenders and warps! It's all in the positioning in the first place, but you cant position for gusts! To put one in Englanders bow, you'd need a team of cornish tin miners, to drive a shft through the SOLID timber bow section!

Ah but as you say Colin. Englander is 48 tons and err long. So need one if possible. But they'll be having one on the dinghy next!!

No one can force me to come here-----------

Re: typical hlb

We can always rely on hlb to make smutty inuendos instead of a serious comment. No change there then
