What a ace w/e for weather.

I was however very surprised at the number of people who told me that my Nav lights were on and did I know my radar was on too!.

Surprising really as away from the land it was really quite murky in and around the solent. I find it hard to accept that because its bright and sunny in the marina some peeps think that the same applies when crossing the ogin.

Or, it just moi?

i switch the radar on for a bit on every trip, just to make suure it works and to check that i can see stuff that it can see and so on.

Anyway, where dya go this time? Did you get all adventurous and go to the *western* end of Newtown creek instead of usual the eastern side, you mad fool you, hm?

Well since you ask we thought of anchoring on the west side;until Mrs mjf - in a flash of brilliance- calculated that once we had anchored the vis would fall and she would then be faced with 18hrs of dampness with zero vis until we headed back on sunday lunchtime/afternoon.

Whilst..... in Puerto Solento the sun would shine until it set and she would have a nice nights sleep as she would not have to ring a bell every minute throughout the night (i on the other hand do not need to sound a gong aft -too small see, and could have retired knowing I was in safe hands)

we did manage the swashway thou!
