Boat was actually already under offer , sold even before being advertised, just fancied a quick look which the broker kindly agreed too.
The Phantom 42 was previously called " Release" and was located initially in Majorca.
Few years ago helped a chum purchase and bring back to the Thames, a Fairline Brava 36 , also called "Release" which also started life out in Majorca.
Both had been kitted out to "MED" spec.
Dim memories of an article in MBY of an owner working his way up the Fairline food chain, all of the boats being called " Release" and all starting life in Majorca poss Cala d Or.
By coincidence a Broom 44 recently purchased on the Thames and bought back to RCC turned out to also have been owned by the skipper of all the Fairlines named "Release."
Anybody remember the artical in the mag ?
