Official Number/tonnage signs suppliers?

You could get a signmaker to engrave a stainless plate for you. Alternatively Nauticalia do a cast brass plaque that they engrave with your number.

Trophy engraver

I've had plaques made with call sign, MMSI etc by the local sports trophy shop which look v good and professional, albeit a mite reminiscent of WW2 or 1950s military kit.

They use a black plastic laminated material which when engraved gives white letters or artwork (I don't know its name I'm afraid). I made up the artwork in ppt and then handed it over with instructions about the font and size they did the plaque in a day or two. About £20 iirc for quite a complicated one.

When the boat was first placed on the part 1 register we were given a rather rudimentary wooden sign to affix to the bulkhead. I would like to replace this with something a bit smarter, probably with a stainless or chrome finish.

Any recommended suppliers for this kind of thing?

For part 1 register this is supposed to be engraved into the bulkhead or beam not on something attached to it.
In my case carved into the deck beam in the saloon just behind the mast.

Pleasure vessels are permitted to use a plaque provided measures are taken to make it difficult to remove such as drilling out the screw heads.

Will look up local trophy engravers to see what they can do.
