I have had my offer accepted but will have to get the yacht home from Sweden. I want to take the direct route to east coast. I intend to sail her back last week August -first week September weather permitting. Anybody else coming back that way or any tips on refuges on Dutch coast would be welcome. Also what Pilot book is a must have. Thanks in advance

Not done the trip and not got a chart handy.

Are you using the Keil Canal or going round the outside depending on where in Sweden you are coming from.

Was in Den Helder a few weeks back and that seemed a good stop off point for restoring etc. Den Helder to Harwich is then about 140nm.

If it is a delivery trip are you having a shakedown first or assuming everything will work?

I was planning a series of shakedown trips before departing, day sailing for about a week, however if I get a good weather window I would most likley take a chance after say three day sails that is if all systems worked as they should. I will be sailing from Gothnburg and was hoping to round the outside of the Skagen, then straight as possible towards Harwich. Is my plan flawed!
